Bylaw Amendments To improve clarity for the public, the Council approved changes to the College’s bylaws to amend the terminology used for the College’s Council and its registrants. Beginning April 1, the College Council will be referred to as the Board, with individual members referred to as Directors; the Council President will be referred to as the Board Chair; and the Vice-President will now be referred to as Vice-Chair. Ontario Extends Provincial Emergency until February 9, 2021

On January 25, 2021, the Government of Ontario announced the provincial emergency that was declared on January 12, 2021 has now been extended until February 9, 2021. All orders under the emergency including; Stay-at-Home Order, Enforcement of COVID-19 Measures and Residential Evictions were also extended. Orders under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020continue to be in force. COVID-19 Update: Ontario Declares Second Provincial Emergency - Issues Stay-at-Home Order

Today on January 12, 2021, the Government of Ontario declared a second provincial emergency under s 7.0.1 (1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMPCA) in response to increasing of COVID-19 cases over the past few weeks.
