Upcoming Board Elections in Toronto and area (District 1)

In case you missed it, governance at the College is changing. For one, Council members are now called Directors of the Board and so much more. In 2022, there will be three seats up for election in District 1, which includes: Toronto, the counties of Haliburton, Northumberland, Peterborough, Simcoe and Kawartha Lakes, and the regions of Durham, Peel and York.

Capacity Assessor Training Opportunity

The Capacity Assessment Office will be offering training in the fall of 2022. Capacity assessors are health professionals that formally assess a person’s mental capacity to determine whether they are capable of making decisions about their property or personal care.

Ontario Extending Call to Arms with Opportunities to Support Vaccine Rollout

On December 22, 2021, the Ontario Government announced that it will temporarily allow more individuals to help administer COVID-19 vaccinations, with appropriate training and supervision. Individuals can sign up to support the province’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Individuals who are willing and able are encouraged to volunteer and contribute to this important initiative.
