Interim IPAC Recommendations for using Personal Protective Equipment for Care of Individuals with Suspect or Confirmed COVID‑19

Public Health Ontario has issued Interim IPAC Recommendations for using Personal Protective Equipment for Care of Individuals with Suspect or Confirmed COVID‑19.

This guidance is intended to inform recommended and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for the care of patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19.

As information is rapidly changing, occupational therapists are encouraged to frequently visit the websites of the Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario (PHO) for the most accurate, up-to-date information.

Occupational therapists are reminded that in conjunction with these IPAC measures, they must follow the guidance provided by employers, the Ministry of Health, the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
