The Association of Canadian Occupational Therapy Regulatory Organizations (ACOTRO) is the national organization of occupational therapy regulators in Canada. The Substantial Equivalency Assessment System (SEAS) is a pan-Canadian initiative of ACOTRO. The SEAS program evaluates the extent to which the education and competencies of internationally trained occupational therapists are substantially equivalent to those of a Canadian-educated graduate.
ACOTRO is seeking three volunteers to participate in a mock assessment training experience for SEAS competency assessors. The competency assessors will be conducting an interview with the volunteer occupational therapists, focusing on the essential competencies of practice. 2-3 assessors will interview one occupational therapist.
The mock assessment will take place on March 3, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at a hotel near the Toronto airport. The occupational therapist must be registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
