Do you work with support personnel or have you received occupational therapy services from support personnel? If so, we want to hear your thoughts on proposed revisions to our Standards.
Please provide your feedback by January 19, 2018.
Occupational therapists (OTs) often include support personnel in their delivery of occupational therapy services. The Standards for the Supervision of Support Personnel define the minimum expectations for the supervision of support personnel when assigning occupational therapy components.
The College is proposing changes to:
- Make College expectations of OT accountability consistent across all Standards
- Clarify expectations for OTs assuming a consultative role
- Provide additional resources to support OT decision-making when assigning activities to support personnel
The College is also interested to learn about the title used for occupational therapist support personnel within your practice setting.
Tell us what you think about the revised Standards by completing this
survey. Consultation deadline is Friday, January 19, 2018.
