The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario protects and serves the public by overseeing the profession of occupational therapy in the province.
Despite its name, the College is not an educational institution. As a regulatory organization, the College supports the public’s right to safe, competent and ethical care by occupational therapists (OTs).
The College does this by: setting requirements to practice occupational therapy in Ontario, establishing standards, policies and programs that every occupational therapist must follow, and holding Ontario’s regulated occupational therapists accountable for their conduct and practice.
