2024 Quality Assurance Annual Requirements Due October 31st

Reminder: Occupational therapists, your Quality Assurance requirements are due October 31st.

Your annual requirements include the Annual Learning Plan and Annual eLearning Module.

if you have provisional and temporary registration with the College, or you registered after July 31st, 2024, you do not need to complete the annual requirements.

Ontario Health has updated two quality standards: Dementia: Care for People Living in the Community (originally published in 2018) and Behavioural Symptoms of Dementia: Care for People in Hospitals and Long-Term Care Homes (originally published in 2016). Keeping accurate and timely records is an essential step in ensuring safe and effective patient care. Record keeping is a part of an occupational therapist’s accountability and part of the employer’s accountability too.

Unfortunately, the College has seen an increasing trend of occupational therapists being terminated for a lack of record keeping.
