COVID-19
Current activities to support occupational therapists and the delivery of safe care during the pandemic were discussed. Plans are in place to ensure ongoing operations during this time. Recognizing the need for social distancing during the pandemic, the Council meeting was held virtually.
Code of Ethics
Council approved the draft Code of Ethics for public and stakeholder consultation, which will begin later this year. The current
Code of Ethics remains in effect and is available online under Standards & Resources.

Enterprise System Project
Council approved the recommendation to move forward with the Enterprise Systems Project. The project aims to provide a streamlined and efficient enterprise system that will build a strong foundation to support the College and its mandate.
Governance Review
Council voiced support for the plan to implement the College’s governance review project. Modernizing the College’s governance structure will ensure its focus remains on the College’s mandate of public protection.

Farewell and Welcome to Council Members
The College recognized the contributions of outgoing professional Council member Patrick Hurteau and public Council member John Paul Dowson. The College welcomed back returning professional Council member Carol Mieras.
Election of Officers
The election of Council officers was conducted. Congratulations to our new Council executive: Julie Entwistle (President), Jeannine Girard-Pearlman (Vice-President), Peter Shenfield (Member at Large, Finance), and Jennifer Henderson (Member at Large, Education).
