revised Standards for the Supervision of Students have been updated and will be in effect as of
December 1, 2018. Until December 1, 2018, the
2011 Standards for Supervision of Students remain in effect.
In the revised Standards for the Supervision of Students you will find:
- Clarification of the term student
- Updated information about the accountabilities of occupational therapists (OTs) supervising students in role emerging placements
- New expectations to ensure professional boundaries are maintained by students
